…your most recent and exciting store discovery is Standard Restaurant Supply, where you can go in and spend an hour or more browsing through all of the gear and cooking supplies like a kid in a candy shop!

Overheard on my last visit, two guys talking, apparently this is one guy’s first visit and is telling the other about his cast iron cookware collection and says, “wow, this place is worse than going to a hardware store!”

“Sure is!”, replies the other with a giggle.

Picked up a small honor with the last round of smoked pulled pork I did a couple weeks ago using their pork shoulder (using Amazing Ribs’ procedure)and other products sold there (see the blog entry below).   Tymkovich Meats holds a monthly contest via their newsletter rewarding the winner with $50 worth of groceries at their shop.  Terri picked mine!  I’m very honored.  Now to decide what to get - splurge on something I would not normally afford like rack of lamb, or stock up the chest freezer with staples.   Decisions, decisions…tough I know. ;-)
